Interested in Fostering?

Bunny TNT does everything we can to put abandoned and surrendered domesticated rabbits into happy forever homes. Sometimes there is an influx of rabbits trying to be surrendered, when this happens we are unable to accept all of them because we are at max capacity. This is where our wonderful foster families come in.

We are constantly looking for willing and able families to take in abandoned rabbits until either a space opens up at the shelter or their forever family has been found.

If you are interested in adopting a bunny but are unsure if it is a right fit, Bunny TNT can set you up with a rabbit to foster.

Fostering is a wonderful, rewarding opportunity, that helps give adoptable bunnies the one on one time they crave and deserve, socializing them to a world where they ARE important. This is also a great opportunity for Bunny TNT to help take in more surrendered rabbits for our community with the hope of rehoming.

Are you interested in Fostering? Do you LOVE bunnies?

There are a few things Bunny TNT looks for when it comes to suitable Foster Parents. Please read on if you are considering bringing one of our wonderful adoptable rabbits into your home.

  1. You must love rabbits! Bunny TNT’s proud of the work we do when it comes to our shared community, and we rely on our wonderful donors and members to continue saving rabbit lives. We all agree, RABBITS ARE THE BEST!

  2. You must be open to having your foster rabbit anywhere from 2 weeks to several months. Of course the goal is to find homes for these happy hoppers as fast as possible, sometimes this can take longer than expected.

  3. Rabbits belong on the floor, not in cages. Bunny TNT asks that you provide space for a large pen for your foster. Together with assistance from us, a setup that works for you and the bunny can be created. If you don’t have a pen at home, Bunny TNT is happy to provide what you need to get started.

  4. Bunnies are very active animals, which is why it is required you provide at least 2 hours minimum of exercise time a day. The adoptables at Bunny TNT get free roam time twice a day, helping to curb those negative results of pent up energy. Plus this will give your buns room to binky and display all their adorable personality traits. When you are keeping a foster we do ask they have time with you every day as well!

  5. There is no such thing as too much research! Bunny TNT wants to be sure these bunnies have the best lives they can, especially in foster care.

  6. Before you become a full fledge Foster Parent, Bunny TNT does require a home visit. This is just to make sure you are ready to go when your foster bunny is dropped off!

  7. Sometimes Bunny TNT takes in a rabbit that has existing health issues or they have yet to be spayed/neutered. Bunny TNT will take responsibility for all vet bills while you are fostering.

  8. You will be responsible for food and hay for the rabbit while they are in your care. For questions regarding this, please reach out to Bunny TNT.

  9. The health and care of the bunnies is our #1 priority, with this in mind it is required for all bunnies to follow the care guidelines listed by Bunny TNT. This includes veterinary care, diet and housing guidelines.

The world of rabbit care is wide and exciting, and Bunny TNT can’t wait to share it with you! If you have any questions about what you’ve read or are interested in becoming a foster parent to a sweet, loving bunny (or TWO!), please email us or contact via social media. The bunnies can’t wait to meet you!
